  • Herve Chabert

  • Valerie Pozzo Di Borgo

    Water, Earth and Us.

I propose to give you an overview of the water we need to live and to give some answers to the questions we ask ourselves about it. What is water, where does it come from, why do we need it, how does it get from the river to our tap, how does it become drinkable and what are the criteria for its potabilization. But there are flaws in the system and undesirables are unfortunately present at our tap. What are the consequences of these defects, and, as we still need to drink, what are the solutions for the consumer? If filtration is the best solution to preserve our health capital, what are the different filtration systems, their advantages and their limits? What is reverse osmosis and why is it the best filtration system available today? I will be pleased to answer all your questions on the subject and to give you as much food for thought as possible.

  • Tristan Urtizberea

(Do not) Produce its own electricity, thanks to solar energy.

Thinking about your energy production without knowing what you are consuming is a bit like embarking on a cooking recipe without knowing the amount of each ingredient. The result is something that is probably nutritious... but tasteless!

Estimating one's needs is the basis of the search for autonomy. If you reduce the amount of food you need, a large part of the installation work is done... since it no longer needs to be done!

We can then serenely focus on the best way to produce.

Tristan is the author of "Produire son électricité - Autoconstruire son installation photovoltaïque" published by Ulmer.

  • Pierre Harris

The ECOLOGIS model - Water, energy and waste autonomous housing

In France, the current housing model is based on its dependence on networks: drinking water, sanitation, electricity, gas, communication... Within the framework of the ecological and energetic transition, the "ecologis" model proposes a new way, that of the global autonomy of the habitat in water, energy and waste. This autonomy is based on the reasoned use of natural resources: rain, wind, sun, biomass in order to limit the impact of the habitat on the environment and to reduce the household expenses.
